IMS Extensions for ARCHIBUS

Infrastructure Management Solutions, a certified ARCHIBUS Business Partner, offers the following extensions to the ARCHIBUS IWMS platform. Contact us today for more information.

IMS Audit Extension

An integral part of managing an ARCHIBUS implementation is understanding who is accessing the system, what information are they reviewing, and if users are experiencing errors during the execution of their daily responsibilities. The IMS Audit Extensions provides organizations with the ability to review detailed logs of system performance, track system errors experienced by end users and system processes, and review a log of all users that have logged in and out of the ARCHIBUS application.

As a core feature, the ARCHIBUS application provides data event logging to allow organizations to track when data in the system changes, what data changed, and who changed it. The IMS Audit Extensions also provide enhancements to this core feature by parsing all data event logs, displaying the captured events in easy-to-read reports, and performing analysis to help organizations understand the transaction load their users are placing on the system.

IMS CAD Extension

The IMS CAD Extension enables ARCHIBUS users to catalog room polylines in an AutoCAD drawing that have room designators populated within the boundaries of each room. The routine first searches for room text on a specific layer. Then, for each room text entity found, the routine finds surrounding entities that bound it, creates a polyline around those entities, and turns the resulting boundary into an intelligent ARCHIBUS asset symbol. You can use arcs, block, lines, regions or other entities as boundaries, so you can automatically trace even complex, jagged, or irregular boundaries without costly manual interventions.

U.S. Federal Real Property Profile (FRPP) Extension for ARCHIBUS

Executive Order (E.O.) 13327, Federal Real Property Asset Management, was issued on February 4, 2004 to promote the efficient and economical use of the Federal Government’s real property assets.  E.O. 13327 established the inter-agency Federal Real Property Council (FRPC) and the role of the Senior Real Property Officer (SRPO) within each agency subject to the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990. It also mandated creation of a centralized real property database, known as the Federal Real Property Profile Management System (FRPP MS).

To further improve the management of federal real property, the Federal Property Management Reform Act of 2016 (FPMRA) (Pub. L. 114-318) and the Federal Assets Sale and Transfer Act of 2016 (FASTA) (Pub. L. 114-287) were enacted on December 16, 2016. These laws require all executive branch federal agencies, with certain exceptions, to submit current data and recommendations on federal civilian real properties owned, leased, or controlled by a federal agency, and to assess and determine how to dispose of excess and underutilized property.

In response to E.O. 13327, IMS Consulting developed the U.S. Federal Real Property Profile (FRPP) Extension for ARCHIBUS to comply with the U.S. Government real property reporting requirements.  With the FRPP Extension for ARCHIBUS, U.S. Federal Government Agencies can manage their leased properties within the ARCHIBUS application, manage all FRPP specific data elements, and export a FRPP compliant file that can be uploaded to the U.S. General Services Administration annually to comply with E.O. 13327.
